Meet the Team

Danny Rosenthal

CEO & Founder

Danny is an established CEO and CTO in the fintech and marketplace industries. Danny has a unique track record of driving successful outcomes in legacy as well as disruptive financial and marketplace businesses. Most recently, he was the CEO at Apex Crypto, a turnkey offering providing the security and liquidity needed to seamlessly integrate crypto products onto clients’ platforms. Prior to Apex Crypto, Danny held a wide variety of CEO roles including Apex Clearing Corporation (formerly Penson), a subsidiary of PEAK6, online trading platform OptionsHouse (later sold to E*TRADE), and Spark Networks, a global company which owns and operates some of the leading dating platforms around the world.

A technical leader by background, Danny grew up developing proprietary trading platforms as well as leading risk management and back office functions. He served as Chief Technology Officer at PEAK6 and CIO at National Flood Services.

Chris Fesler

CTO

Chris Fesler is the CTO at Nutshell Labs. Prior to joining Nutshell, Chris was CTO at Apex Clearing, where he spearheaded efforts to replace costly and unwieldy legacy systems before founding and growing its Portland office to 60 employees. He also served as Chief Architect at National Flood Services, where he directed the development and integration of a new platform, utilizing Java in K8s for backend and Next.js for frontend, replacing outdated mainframe systems while retaining essential functions.

Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Reed College.
